Re-certify and Reinstate
Application | CEUs | In-Service | Online Recertification
In 1980, National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel
incorporated a recertification policy as a mechanism for certificants to
demonstrate their continued competence to their peers, employers and
patients.
The policy provides a choice between two routes for recertification: *continuing education* or *re-examination*.
Effective July 14, 2008 NCA has launched its new Online
Recertification Engine, certificants can now use this to track their
recertification cycle. Users will be able to apply for recertification,
keep contact information up to date, pay for recertification online, and
receive instant confirmation of certification status. In addition
certificants can track CEU and update (Continuing Education Units) at
any time, eliminating the need for submitting paper copies to NCA
(individuals should retain paper copies of course confirmation in their
own files in case they are randomly selected for an NCA audit).
Applicants' first login will always be as a New User. Please make sure
to have NCA certification number and zip code to log in. Certification
numbers are available on the front of each wallet card or by calling NCA
headquarters at 913-895-4613. Certificants will create a userid and
password for future login and account maintenance. There is an option for the username and password to be sent to their e-mail if they forget the password. If an
error message is received during the initial login process as a new user
please contact the NCA Headquarters by calling 913-895-4613 or by email
at nca-info@goamp.com to ensure that the correct information is on file
with us. Online instructions will guide users through the
recertification and CEU addition process, please note that while
recertification payment can not be submitted until 6 months prior to expiration date, CEU courses can be added at any time.
