Phlebotomy (CLPlb) Certification from NCA
To be eligible for the CLPlb Examination, applicants must:
ROUTE 1
Successfully complete a NAACLS-approved formal education program in Phlebotomy.
ROUTE 2
Successfully complete a formal education program that includes a clinical and didactic component in phlebotomy (e.g., phlebotomy, medical assistant, laboratory assistant, or certified nurse assistant).

ROUTE 3
Possess a high school diploma or GED and complete the equivalent of one year of full-time work experience including phlebotomy.
